White Elementary School on Fort Benning

This dynamic and flexible education environment, currently slated for completion in 2017, will be one of the first new 21st century schools for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). White Elementary School will boast seven learning neighborhoods with flexible learning studios situated around their own central learning hub. The 17-acre site’s 100-foot elevation change makes it possible to incorporate fun learning spots into the terrain, such as an echo wall, a dinosaur/fossil exhibit, and an outdoor learning amphitheater. The fact that “learning occurs everywhere” is demonstrated not only throughout the building, but throughout the building site as well.
